Job description

Brilliant opportunity for a qualified Financial Accountant to join a Civil & Structural Consultancy in South Dublin. They have a portfolio of 70 years of expertise in the design of both new buildings, data centres and other structural projects in Ireland and Europe, for various public and private clients.

The Financial Accountant will manage the financial operations of the company, collaborating with the management team and accounting personnel. Key responsibilities include regular financial reporting, preparation of management accounts, and execution of annual accounts for audit.

Duties:

• Prepare monthly/quarterly financial reports and management accounts.
• Develop and maintain project-based budgets and financial forecasts.
• Assist in estimating work in progress and earned value on projects.
• Ensure compliance with all tax regulations (PAYE, VAT, Corporation tax).
• Prepare annual accounts for audit.
• Utilize Sage Line 50 and Sage Quickpay payroll packages.
• Communicate with internal and external parties.
• Prepare and issue project fees to clients as needed.

Desirable Skills:

• Qualified Accountant with 8+ years of financial management experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to prioritise workload.
• Experience in timely financial reporting and tax compliance.
• Familiarity with Sage Line 50, payroll packages, and document management systems.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
