Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or related education preferred.
  • Qualified Accountant (CA/ACA/CPA or equivalent) required.
  • 3–5 years in a full cycle accounting role; multi-entity/multi-jurisdiction exposure advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of GL accounting, month-end close, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Excel proficiency; SAP or similar ERP experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Own the general ledger for a portfolio of group entities.

We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join our Finance team in Dublin, reporting to the Regional Finance Manager. This is a hands‑on role responsible for the day‑to‑day financial accounting of a number of entities within the group, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, robust balance sheet control, and strong local compliance across the entities under your remit. The role offers exposure to multiple jurisdictions and works closely with the wider Financial Control, Accounts Payable, and Operations teams.

Job Overview
  • Own the general ledger for a portfolio of group entities, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial records
  • Manage the month‑end close process, including preparation and posting of journals, accruals, prepayments, and other adjustments. Prepare variance analysis on month end accounts, ensuring an accurate close.
  • Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations across all entities in your portfolio. Monitor and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner, escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Support the maintenance and improvement of financial controls and processes.
  • Support the Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable function for assigned entities, including limited invoice processing and payment run support.
  • Manage the year‑end statutory audit process for assigned entities, acting as the primary point of contact for local auditors. Support the group audit process.
  • Prepare statutory financial statements and supporting schedules in line with local GAAP/IFRS requirements
  • Liaise with local service providers (e.g. accountants, company secretarial, tax advisors) to ensure ongoing statutory and regulatory compliance in each jurisdiction
  • Support timely filing of local statutory returns, tax filings, and other regulatory obligations in coordination with external advisors and the group tax team
  • Partner with the Finance & Operations teams to support day‑to‑day financial queries and provide financial insight for decision‑making
  • Support ad hoc projects, process improvement initiatives, and system implementations as required
  • Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and competencies

The minimum standard of education/qualifications, experience and competencies required to perform the job successfully.

Qualifications/Education:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or related education is preferred
  • A license as a Qualified Accountant (CA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent) is required
Experience:
  • Minimum of 3‑5 years of experience in a full cycle accounting role is required (1‑3 years+ PQE)
  • Prior experience in a financial accounting, audit, or similar role, ideally with multi‑entity or multi‑jurisdictional exposure
  • Strong understanding of GL accounting, month‑end close processes, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Strong Excel skills; experience with SAP or similar ERP systems an advantage
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across finance and the wider business
