Leinster Appointments Ltd. is recruiting a Finance Manager / Senior Management Accountant for a Clane-based role in the medical sector. You will own the day-to-day finance function, reporting to the MD and Operations Manager to support performance and decision-making.

The role requires 2–4 years’ relevant experience in management accounting and reporting, proficiency in Sage and Excel, and payroll experience. Office-based with flexibility around hours; salary €65,000–€75,000 DOE.

Responsibilities

Finance Manager / Senior Management Accountant

Location: Clane, Co. Kildare
Salary: €65,000 – €75,000 DOE
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Working Arrangement: Office-based with flexibility around working hours

The Role

Leinster Appointments is currently recruiting for an experienced Finance Manager / Senior Management Accountant on behalf of an established business operating within the medical sector in Clane, Co. Kildare.

This is a hands‑on role offering the opportunity to take ownership of the day‑to‑day finance function, working closely with the Managing Director and Operations Manager to support business performance and financial decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day‑to‑day finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting and strong financial controls.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet reconciliations and financial analysis.
• Manage cash flow, bank accounts, credit cards, accounts payable and receivable.
• Oversee sales invoicing, revenue recognition, accruals, prepayments and work in progress.
• Prepare Irish and UK VAT returns and Intrastat submissions.
• Manage payroll using BrightPay and process employee expenses.
• Coordinate year-end accounts and external audits.
• Provide financial reporting, analysis and commercial insights to senior management.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and efficiencies.

The Person

Requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with 2–4 years' relevant experience.
• Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Proficiency in Sage and Microsoft Excel.
• Payroll experience, ideally using BrightPay.
• Excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills.
• Commercially minded, proactive and comfortable managing the finance function independently.
• Previous experience within an SME or owner‑managed business would be advantageous.
