DataAnalystJobs on behalf of a partner company is seeking a Finance Data Analyst based in Ireland to transform financial and operational data into reliable insights that support strategic decision-making.

You will bridge Finance and technical teams, build scalable reporting, automate analyses, and contribute to forecasting and performance monitoring across finance, revenue, operations, HR, and cloud systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data analysis, BI, FP&A analytics, or a related analytical role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate data across multiple systems and identify root causes.
• Proficient in SQL and practical experience with at least one BI or data visualization tool.
• Ability to translate business questions into clear data requirements, meaningful metrics, and actionable analyses.
• Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, monthly closing, variance analysis, revenue, cash flow, costs, and unit economics.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills for auditing and structuring financial models.
• Strong documentation and communication skills with Finance and technical stakeholders.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.
• Rigorous, curious, and structured approach to data quality.

Responsibilities

• Map financial and corporate data sources, systems, ownership, definitions, and data flows.
• Identify data gaps and reconciliation issues across key systems.
• Define data requirements for monthly closing, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Explore, transform, and model data from warehouses and connected systems.
• Reconcile data across sources and investigate discrepancies.
• Produce recurring financial analyses, dashboards, and reporting for leadership decisions.
• Collaborate with data engineering to improve integrations and data quality checks.
• Automate recurring reporting, reconciliations, and analytical workflows.
• Maintain documentation on data lineage, metric definitions, and business rules.
• Contribute to data governance and quality monitoring for forecasting and AI use cases.
• Handle confidential financial, HR, and payroll information with discretion.
