Job summary

Syntec Scientific, part of Syntec Group, is looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join our Dublin team. You will install, maintain and repair medical and scientific equipment in hospitals, universities and diagnostic laboratories across the island of Ireland.

The ideal candidate holds a third-level engineering degree, has 5+ years in field service, a full clean driving licence, and can work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Third-level qualification in mechanical/electrical engineering.
• 5+ years of field service experience preferred, especially with medical/scientific equipment.
• Willingness to travel daily with occasional international travel for training.
• Full clean driving licence mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Install, schedule preventative maintenance, and repair medical and scientific equipment in hospitals, universities and diagnostic labs across Ireland.
• Diagnose problems and perform repairs on installed equipment.
• Fill out reports using electronic devices and maintain service records.

Company Description Syntec Group is a global medical device organization that unites three divisions: Syntec International, Syntec Scientific, and SyS Laboratories. The group focuses on delivering world-class instruments and innovation to hospitals and diagnostic laboratories in Ireland.

Syntec Scientific is seeking to recruit an experienced Field Service Engineer to join the team at their office in Dublin.

The Role:

• Installation scheduled preventative maintenance of medical and scientific equipment within hospitals, universities and diagnostic laboratories throughout the island of Ireland.
• Diagnosis or problems and repair of installed medical and scientific equipment

Requirements:

Third level qualification in mechanical/electrical engineering

Experience as a field service engineer – preference for engineers with +5 years field experience and a proven track record in repairing equipment in the field.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work with minimal supervision and be eager to respond quickly to break downs & call outs.Ability to organise work and fill out reports using electronic devices required. Good problem solving skills also required.Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in medical & scientific equipment repair.

Candidate should be self motivated, willing to travel daily, have a full clean driving licence and should have a passion to deliver excellent customer service.Will also need to travel outside Ireland on occasion for Manufacturer certified training or service related issues.
