Job summary

Liebherr recruitment in Ireland is seeking a field technician to diagnose, service, repair and instruct on Liebherr crane products on behalf of Liebherr Construction Equipment-Ireland Ltd and Liebherr-Great Britain Ltd. You will focus on mobile crane customers, travel UK & Ireland, and occasionally other product types, while upholding safety, quality and customer satisfaction.

Requires NVQ level 3 apprenticeship and relevant industry experience.

Job description

Undertaking diagnostic, service, repair, recovery, technical and operational instruction on Liebherr-Werk Ehingen crane products on behalf of Liebherr Construction Equipment-Ireland Ltd (LIR) and Liebherr-Great Britain Ltd.

• Undertaking similar work on non-Liebherr products from time to time as necessary as approved and appropriate.
• Focusing, as a priority on the Company’s mobile crane customers and to become familiar with and support customers with other product types.
• Participating in the early stages with the effective processing of warranty claims.
• Identifying opportunities to develop revenue work with contacted customers and reduce exposure to costs and risks.
• Investigating specific customer problems on a project-by-project basis, providing technical reports as may be requested.
• Undertaking additional tasks, training and projects as may be reasonably requested by the company from time to time.
• Working additional hours as reasonably required to undertake the described duties and to be available to work a rota based out-of-hours customer support.
• Undertaking all duties predominately in the Republic of Ireland and the UK but also be prepared to travel outside this territory as required from time to time.
• Representing the company in the best possible way at all times, promoting the Liebherr name and always presenting the Liebherr brand in a professional manner and in accordance with the Company and Group requirements.
• Ensuring as far as possible that any commercial risks to the Company are eliminated when dealing with customers and suppliers.
• In all activities ensuring that the Safety, Quality, Environmental, Financial and Operational policies of the Company are adhered to and promoted and that the Company procedures both operational and administrative of are maintained.

Requirements

• Satisfactory completion of a recognised apprenticeship in a related industry to NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
• Has relevant product or industry experience.
• Able to demonstrate through experience in a similar industry application of skills and knowledge gained.
• Can demonstrate a good customer sales and service ethic.
• Be able to travel UK & Ireland as required to support business requirements.
• To be able to travel overseas as required.
