Job summary

KCC Group is seeking a motivated Field Service Engineer to service a range of door systems across public sector, healthcare, education, commercial and industrial environments. The role involves travelling between customer sites to install, service and maintain steel doors, fire doors and access control systems.

You will diagnose faults, perform repairs, carry out planned preventative maintenance and provide excellent customer service while building strong client relationships.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in a similar field.
  • Full clean driving licence required.
  • Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads.
  • Willingness to travel and occasional after-hours work.
  • Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Installation, servicing and maintenance of Steel Doors, Fire Doors, Door Hardware, Access Control Systems & Automatic Doors.
  • Diagnose faults, troubleshoot issues and carry out repairs.
  • Respond to customer call-outs and provide technical support.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance inspections.
  • Make recommendations following service visits.
  • Complete service reports accurately and provide solutions.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Comply with all Health & Safety procedures and industry regulations.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

The role will entail travelling between customer sites undertaking the following duties:

  • Installation, servicing and maintenance of Steel Doors, Fire Doors, Door Hardware, Access Control Systems & Automatic Doors.
  • Diagnose faults, troubleshoot issues and carry out repairs.
