Job summary

Ifac is seeking an experienced Farm Support Advisor to join our Farm Support Team at the Cahir office, Co. Tipperary.

The role involves delivering high-quality budgeting, financial management reviews and projection services to commercial farmers while collaborating with Partners, office teams, bookkeepers and clients to drive growth. You will support clients in using our financial management software, build farm budgets (with emphasis on dairy), and contribute to loan assessments and scenario

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • A 3rd level qualification in Agriculture, Accounting, or a Business-related discipline.
  • An interest in technology and tools for driving change on the farm.

Responsibilities

  • Support clients and wider teams in optimising use of our financial management software platform.
  • Help build and review farm budgets with farming clients, predominately in the dairy sector.
  • Support with building financial projections, new entrants' proposals, scenario planning and loan assessment.
  • Assist the banking team with client loan applications.
  • Compare actual farm financial performance against budgets and communicate findings to clients (predominantly dairy).
  • Meet best practice delivery standards and participate in business development and client acquisition activities.

We are seeking an experienced and talented Farm Support Advisor to join our Farm Support Team operating out of our Cahir, Co. Tipperary office.

The Role

Working closely with our Head of Farm Support, this role is an excellent opportunity to build a rewarding career in one of Ireland's fastest growing professional service Firms. Our Farm Support Advisor will work closely with our Partners, local office teams, bookkeepers and clients - to drive the next phase of growth and client impact across the region. Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting the clients and wider teams in optimising their use of our financial management software platform.
  • Help build and review farm budgets directly with farming clients, predominately in the dairy sector.
  • Support with building financial projections, new entrants' proposals, scenario planning (expansion, succession etc) and loan assessment.
  • Assist the banking team with client loan applications.
  • Compare actual farm financial performance against prepared budgets and ifac benchmark figures on a regular basis and communicate the findings to clients (predominately dairy).
  • Meet best practice delivery standards.
  • Participate in business development and client acquisition activities.
You will have:
  • A 3rd level qualification in Agriculture, Accounting, or a Business-related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working directly with farmers or other SME's.
  • A detailed understanding of farming with a particular focus on the dairy sector.
  • An understanding of trends in farm performance improvement.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • An interest in technology and tools for driving change on the farm.
  • A desire to help farmers make great decisions, and more profit.
