Job summary

ArraTipp Co-operative in Galway seeks a Farm Relations Advisor to provide farm-level advice on current DAFM requirements and to strengthen relationships with milk suppliers.

You will drive raw milk quality improvements, promote safety, and work with new entrants while coordinating with Bord Bia and other regulators.

The role requires a degree in Agriculture or related field, strong communication, and a proactive, team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Degree in Agriculture, Food or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with regulatory inspections is an advantage.
• Excellent people skills with ability to build relationships.
• Excellent computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide farm advisory focusing on raw milk quality and improvements in the ArraTipp milk pool.
• Promote and drive milk quality standards at farm level, acting as advisor to farmers.
• Collaborate with milk suppliers to ensure quality, safety and traceability of raw milk supply.
• Coordinate with new entrants and manage the new entrant programme for Arra Tipp.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies (DAFM, Animal Health Ireland, Bord Bia).
• Manage Bord Bia database for SDAS compliance and Grass-fed requirements.
• Manage an SCC & TBC improvement programme for the milk pool.
• Report to Farm Relations Manager on farm/milk quality issues and assist in problem solving.
• Promote farm sustainability initiatives with environmental and economic benefits.
• Support Bord Bia farm inspections and Arra Tipp farm inspections.
• Assist in planning and coordination of farm walks/farm events.
