Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Facilities Technician to maintain a safe, efficient working environment across our site.

You will support day-to-day building systems operations, coordinate contractor activities, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. You will perform routine inspections, troubleshoot issues, and carry out general facilities work, contributing to the smooth running of the facility and continuity of operations.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of facilities maintenance or related technical role.
• Experience with building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
• Ability to read manuals, schematics and basic drawings.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Valid driver’s licence and safe driving record.
• Proficient with maintenance management and reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
• Respond to maintenance requests and equipment faults promptly to minimize disruption.
• Troubleshoot building issues and implement corrective actions.
• Perform general facilities tasks (painting, carpentry, space setups, installations).
• Coordinate and supervise external contractors, ensuring safety and schedule adherence.
• Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and inventory.
