Job summary

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in facilities or building maintenance at high-footfall sites.
  • Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance, asset care and safety standards.
  • Experience coordinating contractors and service providers, RAMS familiarity.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the planned preventative maintenance programme, ensuring activities are scheduled, recorded and reviewed.
  • Maintain oversight of building fabric, infrastructure and facilities assets, prioritising and resolving issues to a high standard.
  • Govern housekeeping, site standards and guest-ready environment with internal teams and service providers.
  • Manage facilities contractors and suppliers, including onboarding, performance review and safety compliance.
  • Coordinate statutory inspections, servicing, testing and certification with records kept and actions closed on time.
  • Track health & safety actions, support audits and corrective action closure to maintain safety standards.
  • Identify infrastructure risks and develop mitigation plans to reduce disruption and protect guest experience.
  • Scope and deliver minor capital projects safely, on budget and aligned with operations.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cost control for maintenance and service agreements.
  • Coordinate training requirements and maintain records for contractors and internal staff.
  • Provide Duty Manager coverage during peak periods or leave when trained.

Role Purpose

The Facilities Manager will provide dedicated ownership of facilities, building maintenance, asset care, statutory compliance and site standards at Jameson Distillery Bow Street. The role will ensure the site is safe, compliant, well maintained and presented to a consistently high standard for employees, contractors, visitors and guests. The Facilities Manager will lead a proactive approach to planned preventative maintenance, contractor management, housekeeping governance, infrastructure risk reduction and minor capital works, while supporting operational resilience through cross-training in Duty Manager responsibilities when required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planned preventative maintenance: Own and manage the planned preventative maintenance programme, ensuring maintenance activities are scheduled, completed, recorded and reviewed to protect asset reliability and reduce reactive failures.
  • Building fabric and asset management: Maintain strong oversight of the building fabric, infrastructure, equipment and facilities assets, ensuring issues are identified early, prioritised appropriately and resolved to a high standard.
  • Housekeeping and site standards: Govern housekeeping, presentation and back-of-house site standards, working with internal teams and service providers to maintain a safe, clean and guest-ready environment.
  • Contractor and supplier management: Manage facilities contractors and suppliers, including contractor selection, onboarding, induction, performance review, permit-to-work requirements, RAMS review and contractor safety compliance.
  • Statutory compliance and inspections: Coordinate statutory inspections, servicing, testing and certification across relevant facilities systems, ensuring records are maintained and actions are closed within agreed timelines.
  • Health, safety and risk management: Track facilities-related health and safety actions, support audits and inspections, contribute to corrective action closure and help maintain strong safety standards for employees, contractors and visitors.
  • Site infrastructure risk management: Identify infrastructure risks, elevate material concerns and develop practical mitigation plans to reduce operational disruption and protect the guest experience.
  • Minor capital projects: Scope, coordinate and deliver minor capital and improvement projects, ensuring works are planned safely, delivered within budget and aligned with operational requirements.
  • Budgeting and planning: Support annual facilities budgeting, forecasting and cost control, including maintenance spend, contractor costs, service agreements and small project expenditure.
  • Training coordination and records: Coordinate facilities-related training requirements and maintain appropriate records for contractors, service providers and internal colleagues where relevant.
  • Operational resilience: Undertake Duty Manager responsibilities during periods of leave, absence or peak trading demand once fully trained, supporting business continuity and leadership coverage.
Key Relationships

The Facilities Manager will work closely with the Operations Manager, Duty Managers, Health & Safety colleagues, Brand Homes leadership, Finance, Procurement, IT, contractors, service providers and other site stakeholders to ensure facilities activity is coordinated, compliant and aligned with business priorities.

Skills, Experience and Competencies
  • Facilities and maintenance expertise: Demonstrated experience in facilities management, building maintenance, property operations, engineering services or a comparable operational environment, ideally within a high-footfall, customer-facing site.
  • Planned maintenance and asset care: Strong working knowledge of planned preventative maintenance, asset lifecycle management, building fabric upkeep and the systems required to track, schedule and evidence completed works.
  • Compliance and safety focus: Practical understanding of statutory inspections, health and safety requirements, risk assessments, RAMS, permit-to-work processes and safe contractor control.
