Job summary

Arup in Ireland is seeking Mechanical & Electrical Engineers to design and deliver mechanical and electrical services for a wide range of building types. You will work in a BIM-enabled environment to develop innovative, sustainable design solutions and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on high-quality projects across Ireland and overseas.

Qualifications

• Passion for sustainability and positive impact.
• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience designing Building Services systems (HVAC, gases) in industry/healthcare/education.
• Ability to work in a BIM environment.
• Knowledge of industry codes and standards.
• Ability to prepare technical reports and client proposals.

As a Mechanical & Electrical Engineer at Arup, you will:

• Be responsible for the design of mechanical & electrical services for a variety of building types, including commercial, residential, healthcare, science and industry, technology and education.
• Use your technical expertise to develop innovative and sustainable design solutions.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and designers to deliver some of the most complex and high-quality projects, in Ireland and overseas .
• Manage projects and deliver on time and within budget.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders .

What We’re Looking For

• A passion for sustainability and a desire to make a positive impact on the world.
• A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in the design of Building Services systems such as HVAC, pressure cascades, specialist gases , understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice, in Industry, Healthcare and/or Third Level Education .
• Ability to work in a BIM environment.
• Detailed knowledge of relevant industry codes of practice and standards.
• An ability to produce technical reports and commercial proposal for clients .
