Job summary

Local Government Jobs Ireland is seeking an Executive Engineer to provide technical and managerial support across Planning, Housing, Roads & Transportation, Environment, Water Services and other municipal services. The role requires liaising with external agencies and supporting the democratic process.

Applicants must have at least five years of satisfactory engineering experience after an honours degree (NFQ level 7).

Qualifications

• Hold at least an ordinary bachelor's degree (NFQ level 7+) in Engineering and 5+ years engineering experience.
• A current full Class B driving licence is required.
• High standard of technical training and administrative experience.
• Satisfactory knowledge of public service organisation or ability to acquire it.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and managerial support across all local authority service areas.
• Liaise with external agencies and support the democratic process.
• Manage prescribed work area and deliver services within defined parameters.
• Drive service delivery and change management with prudent use of resources.
