Recruit Engineers is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator for a long-term drainage project in Cork, Ireland. The role involves operating excavators on a busy site, digging trenches for pipe laying and drainage installations, and supporting groundworkers.

You must have an excavator ticket, Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification, plus ability to work as part of a team and adhere to site safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating excavators on construction sites.
• Valid excavator operating ticket.

• Good knowledge of site safety and excavation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators safely and efficiently.
• Carry out trenching and drainage excavation works.
• Dig trenches for pipe laying and drainage systems.
• Assist groundworkers and pipe layers on site.
• Work around underground services.
• Conduct daily machine checks and report issues.
• Follow site health and safety procedures.
