Trinity College Dublin seeks to appoint an Events and Communications Manager to support the establishment of its new research centre in Quantum Information Science and Technology, Rinn Quantum. Funded by Research Ireland, Rinn Quantum brings together academia, industry, and public stakeholders to deliver world-class research, training, and societal impact. The Centre’s Events and Communications Manager will play a central role in raising the profile, impact, and visibility of the Centre nationally and internationally. The post-holder will lead the strategic planning and delivery of communications, high-profile events and public engagement aligned with the Centre’s mission, funder requirements, and Trinity College Dublin’s policies and brand guidelines.

This is a highly collaborative role requiring strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to translate complex scientific research into clear, engaging messaging for diverse audiences.

Post Status:Specific Purpose

This role is for the specific purpose of leading and supporting the development, coordination, and delivery of the Rinn Quantum Research Centre’s communications, events, and stakeholder engagement activities. This includes developing and implementing strategic communications initiatives, managing internal and external communications, coordinating events and outreach activities, promoting the Centre’s research, achievements, and impact, and fostering engagement with researchers, industry partners, policymakers, funding agencies, media representatives, and other key stakeholders. The role supports the Centre’s strategic objectives in relation to visibility, reputation, knowledge exchange, collaboration, and societal impact.

Hours of Post:35 hours per week

Salary:Appointment will be made on the Senior Administrative Officer 1-3 (€71,651- €92,692 per annum) and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.”https://www.tcd.ie/hr/employee-services/pay-scales/
