Job summary

Mercury GmbH in Dublin, Ireland, seeks a Business Unit Head of Commissioning to lead on-site commissioning across multiple EU projects. You will manage commissioning plans, supervise teams, and govern the tagging and testing processes for large-scale data centre and industrial installs.

You will coordinate with contractors and clients, develop schedules, control costs, and ensure timely completion of all commissioning activities with rigorous documentation and IST practices.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required with relevant project experience.
• Extensive commissioning knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Strong IST documentation and reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage all commissioning on site, develop and close out the commissioning plan.
• Lead and develop commissioning personnel and coordinate with sub-contractors.
• Chair weekly commissioning meetings and report progress to client and team.
• Oversee tagging, testing, and documentation sign-off for all systems.
• Develop the project commissioning schedule with planners and ensure on-time delivery.
• Ensure cost control for the commissioning package and track labour allocation.
