Job summary

Appeals Centre Europe in Dublin is seeking a Policy Specialist for an 11‑month contract to support policy interpretation, complex case review, and guidance across the Case Review team.

You will collaborate with Legal, Operations and other stakeholders, help train reviewers, and develop resources mapping platform policies into actionable guidance.

In‑office attendance is required three times a week, with onboarding intensive for the first eight weeks.

Qualifications

  • Degree or industry experience in digital policy, human rights, or technology.
  • 4+ years professional experience.
  • Excellent analytical and writing skills.
  • Experience supporting trust and safety or content moderation teams.
  • Knowledge of digital regulation, especially the Digital Services Act.
  • Proficiency in English and another language.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

  • Policy interpretation and application to guide consistent decision-making.
  • Review escalated and complex cases and provide rationale.
  • Conduct targeted research on socio-political, cultural, linguistic contexts.
  • Develop and maintain policy guidance resources.
  • Train and onboard Case Review staff with policy guidance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align approaches.
