ERP Project Manager
A growing ERP and business transformation consultancy is looking for an experienced ERP Project Manager to lead complex ERP implementations, upgrades and improvement projects across its customer base.
This is an excellent opportunity for a project professional who combines strong ERP delivery experience, confident customer leadership, commercial awareness and a disciplined approach to project governance.
You’ll take ownership of projects from initiation through to go-live and transition into business as usual, ensuring scope, timelines, budgets, resources, risks and customer expectations remain firmly under control.
Experience with Epicor Kinetic would be a significant advantage, although experienced ERP Project Managers from other ERP platforms will also be considered where they can demonstrate strong transferable experience.
The Role
As ERP Project Manager, you’ll be the central point of ownership for customer projects, working closely with clients, consultants, technical teams and internal stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
This is a hands‑on project leadership role, where you’ll be responsible for:
- Leading ERP implementations, upgrades, optimisation and business‑change projects from initiation through to go‑live.
- Establishing clear project scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, responsibilities and success criteria.
- Building and maintaining detailed, resource‑loaded project plans.
- Managing dependencies across functional, technical, data, testing and training workstreams.
- Monitoring projects against schedule, budget, scope, resources and quality.
- Identifying delivery risks and deviations early and putting clear corrective actions in place.
- Managing project budgets, forecasts, billable effort, purchase orders, invoicing milestones and work at risk.
- Leading customer project meetings, steering groups and governance forums.
- Providing clear reporting on progress, budget, risks, issues, decisions and dependencies.
- Owning RAID management and ensuring actions and decisions are actively followed through.
- Managing formal change control across scope, cost, effort, timelines and responsibilities.
- Coordinating user acceptance testing, defect management, readiness activities and customer sign‑off.
- Planning and managing cutover and go‑live activities.
- Ensuring project documentation, approvals and decisions are properly maintained.
- Managing stakeholder expectations and communicating difficult messages confidently and professionally.
- Supporting resource and capacity planning across multiple customer projects.
- Ensuring projects are formally closed, financially reconciled and successfully transitioned into business as usual.
- Contributing to the ongoing improvement of project‑management standards, governance and delivery processes.
What We're Looking For

- Strong project planning, scheduling and dependency‑management skills.
- Experience controlling scope, budget, schedule, resources, risks, issues and quality.
- Strong commercial awareness, including forecasting, budget tracking, change control and invoicing.
- Experience leading customer governance meetings and working with senior stakeholders.
- A structured approach to RAID and change management.
- Experience coordinating requirements, configuration, development, data migration, testing, training and deployment.
- The confidence to challenge stakeholders and hold people accountable for agreed actions.
- Excellent communication, organisation and problem‑solving skills.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to identify and resolve potential problems before they affect delivery.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and remain calm under pressure.
Desirable Experience
Experience with any of the following would be highly advantageous:
