Job summary

E-Frontiers in Dublin West is seeking an experienced ERP Financials Functional Consultant to join our team. You will lead the functional Finance side of the ERP environment, collaborating with Finance teams and stakeholders to deliver practical ERP solutions.

You will translate business requirements into ERP configurations, support data migration and testing, and contribute to ERP upgrades, migrations and transformation programmes. This role is hybrid, with 2-3 days onsite.

Qualifications

• Hands-on ERP Finance experience across GL, AP, AR and reporting.
• Ability to translate business needs into ERP configurations.
• Experience with multi-currency and multi-company setups.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering.
• Knowledge of finance controls and month-end processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead functional delivery of ERP Finance solutions across implementations, enhancements and optimisation projects.
• Collaborate with Finance Directors and stakeholders to understand requirements.
• Translate requirements into ERP configurations and enhancements.
• Support data migration, testing, UAT and cutover activities.
• Produce functional specifications and process documentation.
• Act as trusted advisor to Finance teams.

Our client is looking for an experienced ERP Financials Functional Consultant to join their team and play a key role in improving and optimising their ERP environment.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced ERP professional who combines strong Finance/Accounting knowledge with hands-on experience across an ERP platform such as SAP, Oracle, Epicor or a similar enterprise ERP system.

You will work closely with Finance and business stakeholders to understand requirements, improve processes, deliver system enhancements and ensure the ERP platform continues to support the organisation's growth.

This is a hands-on role with a strong blend of functional consulting, business analysis, ERP optimisation and stakeholder engagement.

The Role

You will take ownership of the functional Finance side of the ERP environment, working with Finance teams, business stakeholders and technical colleagues to deliver effective solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the functional delivery of ERP Finance solutions across implementations, enhancements and optimisation projects.
• Working directly with Finance Directors, Financial Controllers and business stakeholders to understand requirements and challenges.
• Translating business and Finance requirements into practical ERP solutions.
• Configuring and enhancing ERP functionality where appropriate.
• Supporting core Finance processes including:
  • General Ledger
  • Accounts Payable
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Fixed Assets
  • Cash Management
  • VAT / Tax
  • Budgeting
  • Financial Reporting
  • Month-end and year-end processes
  • Reconciliations
  • Multi-company and multi-currency environments
• Reviewing existing processes and identifying opportunities to simplify, automate and improve them.
• Supporting ERP implementations, upgrades, migrations and transformation programmes.
• Working with technical teams on integrations, interfaces, reporting and system enhancements.
• Supporting data migration, testing, UAT and reconciliation activities.
• Diagnosing complex functional issues and developing practical solutions.
• Supporting users and delivering training and knowledge transfer.
• Producing functional specifications, process documentation and solution designs.
• Acting as a trusted advisor to Finance and business stakeholders.
• Identifying opportunities to make better use of ERP functionality and emerging technology.

What We're Looking For

We are interested in candidates with strong ERP Finance experience rather than requiring a specific ERP platform.

You should have:

• Strong hands-on experience in ERP Financials / Finance systems.
• Experience with one or more of SAP, Oracle, Epicor, Microsoft Dynamics or a similar ERP platform.
• Strong understanding of Finance and accounting processes.
• Experience across areas such as GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash Management and Financial Reporting.
• Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into ERP solutions.
• Previous involvement in ERP implementations, upgrades, migrations or optimisation projects.
• Good understanding of financial controls, reconciliations and month-end processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
• Confidence working directly with senior Finance and business stakeholders.
