Job summary

Children’s Health Ireland Jobs is seeking a proactive administrator to support the ERN ITHACA network. The role focuses on managing communication strategies (social media, newsletters, website) and coordinating events with providers and partners.

You will work with the Paris coordination office, organise board meetings, travel and accommodation, and contribute to ongoing professional development with tailored training and mentoring.

Qualifications

• 3rd level qualification in languages or QQI level 7 or equivalent.
• Experience in drafting policy documents.
• Experience in EU commission supporting European Reference Networks.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills using computer technology effectively for events, travel and accommodation.
• Experience working in a demanding multi-disciplinary team environment.
• Experience dealing with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite & Linux.

Job description

Purpose of the role

The purpose of this post is to provide support to the administrative needs of this European Reference network by:

• Managing communication strategy of the ERN ITHACA (social media, newsletter, JARDIN, community building) including oversight of the website


• Organisation of events and conferences, negotiation with different service providers for ERN ITHACA events (close collaboration with the coordination office in Paris) such as sourcing suitable venue for annual board meeting, accommodation and managing travel for delegates.


• This role presents an exciting opportunity to work within a highly motivated team and a dynamic environment, and to be involved in bringing advancements in health outcomes for children and adults living with rare diseases in the EU & Norway. The role offers opportunities for ongoing professional development, and the successful candidate will be provided with training and mentoring specifically to their role.

Essential Criteria

• 3rd level qualification in languages or QQI level 7 or its equivalent qualification


• Experience in drafting policy documents.


• Experience in EU commission supporting European Reference Networks


• Excellent planning and organisational skills using computer technology effectively as relevant to the role i.e planning events, travel accommodation e.t.c.


• Experience working in a demanding and challenging multi-disciplinary team environment


• Experience in a role that has involvement dealing with a variety of internal and external stakeholders relevant to the role


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite & linex/linus.
