Zusammenfassung

SK9 Human Capital is assisting a well-established Engineering & Construction firm in Ireland to recruit an EHS Officer (mid-level, 3–5 years). The role covers safety across Cork, Galway, Limerick, Dublin and the Midlands, with travel between active sites and a hybrid-friendly arrangement.

You will lead site inspections, toolbox talks and EHS training, while driving continuous improvement of the ISO 45001 system and ensuring compliance with current legislation.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years' EHS experience within construction.
• NEBOSH or IOSH certification desirable.
• Full, clean driving licence required for multi-site travel.

Aufgaben

• Travel and conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments across multiple active construction sites.
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety inductions and ongoing EHS training to site personnel.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain and develop site safety documentation in line with current legislation (Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 & Construction Regulations).
• Advise project management teams on EHS compliance, safe systems of work and permit-to-work systems.
• Liaise with clients, PSDP/PSCS duty holders and regulatory bodies (e.g. HSA).
• Support the continuous improvement of the ISO 45001 safety management system.
• Promote positive safety culture and employee wellbeing across all regions.

Are you an experienced EHS professional ready to make your mark across some of Ireland's most exciting construction projects? We are working with a well-established Engineering & Construction firm who are seeking an EHS Officer (mid-level 3-5 years ideally) to look after safety standards to the highest levels across active sites in Cork, Galway, Limerick, and Dublin, along with major projects in the Midlands.

This is a role for someone who thrives on variety - travelling between sites, engaging directly with project teams, and driving a genuine culture of safety rather than ticking boxes.

Key Responsibilities

• Travel & conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments across multiple active construction sites.
