Job summary

ALS is seeking an Environmental Chemistry Laboratory Technician for our Clonmel on-site laboratory. The role involves preparing and analyzing water samples in a fast-paced team environment, with a focus on accuracy, calibration checks, and adherence to quality and safety procedures.

Ideal candidates will have strong PC skills (Excel/Word), an analytical mindset, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining confidentiality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in laboratory testing would be an advantage but not essential.
• Proficient in Excel and Word.
• Analytical and logical approach with attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform work as allocated by Lab Manager to high quality standards.
• Ensure quality systems are adhered to (calibration checks, internal QC, daily checks, spiked samples).
• Keep laboratory areas tidy, especially designated area.
• Operate in line with Environmental, Health and Safety regulations and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer information.
• Perform other duties as required.
