Job summary

ALS in Clonmel is seeking an Environmental Chemistry Laboratory Technician to prepare and analyse water samples within the on-site laboratory. You will report to the Lab Manager and ensure high-quality results, while complying with calibration checks, quality controls and safety procedures.

The role requires strong attention to detail, good PC skills (Excel/Word), and the ability to work well under pressure in a team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in laboratory testing would be an advantage but not essential.
• Excellent PC literacy (Excel, Word).
• Analytical and logical approach with a keen eye for detail.
• Able to thrive under pressure and work as part of a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze water samples in Clonmel laboratory facilities.
• Perform work allocated by Lab Manager to high quality standards.
• Inform Lab Manager of doubtful validity of results.
• Maintain calibration checks, internal quality controls, daily checks and spiked samples.
• Keep laboratory areas tidy and ensure safe operations in line with EHS procedures.
