Job summary

Cpl, partnering with a leading global organisation, is hiring an experienced Application / Solutions Architect for a senior technology role in its Dublin operation. You will lead the design and modernisation of enterprise applications, working across cloud, integration, microservices and wider transformation initiatives.

You will collaborate closely with engineering, infrastructure, security, data and business teams to define scalable, secure, and resilient technology solutions while shaping the

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as Application Architect or Solutions Architect.
• Experience in financial services or complex enterprise environments.
• Strong cloud and hybrid-cloud knowledge (Azure and/or Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of microservices, APIs, event-driven architecture, and Domain-Driven Design.
• Experience with application modernization and cloud transformation.
• Understanding of integration, security, resilience, and scalability.
• Experience in Agile and DevOps delivery environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• TOGAF architecture qualifications and cloud/AI certifications would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end application and solution architectures for strategic technology initiatives.
• Define scalable, secure and resilient application frameworks and technical solutions.
• Support cloud transformation and application modernisation programmes.
• Drive modern architecture approaches including microservices, API-first integration and event-driven architecture.
• Support the transformation and rationalisation of legacy applications.
• Establish architectural standards, principles and reusable design patterns.
• Provide architectural guidance to engineering and delivery teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Work closely with senior business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into practical technology solutions.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities for simplification and modernisation.
