Job summary

The Ardonagh Analytics Lab in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath, part of The Ardonagh Group, seeks an Engineering Team Lead to guide data engineering, design scalable data pipelines, and shape governance and architecture for the analytics platform.

You will lead engineers across data integration, modeling and ETL, partnering with data science and visualization teams to deliver trusted insights. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in data engineering, strong SQL/data warehousing skills, and hands-on

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years in Data Engineering, ETL, data warehousing and systems integration.
• Proven experience leading technical teams and driving engineering best practices.
• Deep expertise in SQL, Data Modelling, Data Warehousing and ETL design.
• Strong programming in Python, Java, Scala and R.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar data integration platforms.
• Knowledge of data management disciplines: data quality, metadata, MDM, data cleansing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Data Engineers, fostering excellence and growth.
• Provide architectural leadership for the Microsoft Fabric platform and data integration strategies.
• Oversee data modelling, ETL design, and data pipelines for enterprise data warehouses.
• Collaborate with Data Science, Analytics and Visualization teams to enable insights.
• Establish governance controls, data quality, lineage and documentation.
