Job summary

ID Recruitment is recruiting an Engineering Manager for a Sligo-based client that specialises in high-volume production of high-precision moulded products. You will lead a newly formed engineering department spanning product development, process development, process optimisation and environment functions.

You will oversee investments in manufacturing machinery, tooling and other production equipment, manage budgets, staffing and project resourcing, and ensure profitable, on-time product launches

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering
• Minimum 5 years in manufacturing environment at senior level
• Proven project management expertise
• Experience in budgeting and capital expenditure planning
• Knowledge of PSW/PPAP/APQP, lean principles and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Lead a newly created engineering department including product development, process development, process optimisation and environment functions
• Oversee investments in manufacturing machinery, tooling and production equipment
• Manage budgets, recruitment, and project resourcing to ensure profitable on-time product launches
• Drive cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement across production and engineering teams
• Transfer process knowledge from project personnel to manufacturing engineers and train production staff on new processes and equipment
• Develop and implement systems and procedures meeting Quality Management System and Design Control requirements
