Job summary

Fingleton White is seeking an Engineering Manager to join the Energy, Utilities and Renewables Projects team in Cork, with Galway as a possible alternative. You will lead high-value, high-complexity projects across renewables, gas networks, and energy efficiency initiatives.

The role includes client relationship management, team leadership, and project design from concept to completion. Hybrid working is available, with a focus on delivering sustainable energy solutions.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (Level 8 or higher) in Mechanical, Process, or related field.
• 10+ years post-graduate design experience.
• CEng would be beneficial but not essential.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Full driving license and own transport.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and grow the business by managing existing workloads and winning new projects.
• Lead a team of engineers delivering projects and developing competency.
• Project lead for design & contract management from conceptual phase through to completion, developing design calculations, drawings, specs and reports.
• Lead projects including power generation, renewables, energy audits and energy-saving initiatives.
• Oversee HVAC, steam, refrigeration and compressed air systems design.
