Job summary

The role requires strong knowledge of GMP, audit readiness, and CapEx ROI analysis, with experience managing teams in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-equivalent engineering qualification required.

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading the engineering function, ensuring plant maintenance, equipment reliability, safety compliance, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. This role will oversee engineering teams, maintenance systems, contractors, budgets, and plant improvement projects to support efficient, safe, and compliant.

Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing engineering, plant maintenance, and equipment reliability.
• Understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance systems.
• Knowledge of GMP requirements, internal and external audit processes, and engineering compliance standards.
• Awareness of health and safety, environmental, food hygiene, BRC, and customer audit requirements.
• Understanding of CapEx justification, ROI analysis, and budget control.

Qualifications

• Relevant third-level qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance, or a related discipline.
• Previous engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing people, contractors, maintenance systems, and engineering projects.
• Experience in a regulated manufacturing, food, or FMCG environment would be advantageous.
