Sherpa Kids is seeking an Afterschool Childcare Assistant for Mercy Convent Primary School in Naas on a maternity leave contract. The role is part-time, Monday to Friday, with hours 8am–9am and 1:30pm–6pm on site.

You will supervise children, assist with homework, run planned activities, and help maintain a safe, inclusive environment. Garda vetting is essential and two written references are required before starting.

Qualificações

• Experience working with school aged children (minimum 1 year).
• Basic knowledge of child development.
• Garda vetting will be completed by us after interview.
• At least 2 written references checks are required before starting.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise children during activities and free play
• Assist with homework and educational tasks
• Engage in a variety of planned activities (indoor and outdoor) with the children each day
• Provide energy and enthusiasm to work with children
• Assist with games, crafts, and group activities
• Ensure a safe, clean, and inclusive environment
