Job summary

Kentwood Public Schools is seeking an ARCH - Activity Leader to support after-school programs at various district buildings. This role requires engaging students with enriching activities while modeling positive behavior and maintaining safety.

The position involves planning activities, tutoring, and coordinating with site staff. Applicants should have a high school diploma, CPR/First Aid certification within 3 months, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1 year of experience with children preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification within 3 months of employment; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily program activity planning, preparation and implementation.
• Lead daily activities that may include academics, health and wellness, games, crafts, music, and recreation.
• Assist with homework time and tutoring in reading, writing, math, etc.
• Ensure participant welfare and safety during activities.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and proper storage of supplies and equipment.
• Communicate with site coordinator and parents professionally.
• Attend professional development and staff meetings as scheduled.
