Job summary

Compass Care is seeking a part-time Support Pedagogue for Ballina, Co. Tipperary. The role focuses on day-to-day care and individual work with young people in a low-occupancy out-of-home setting, guided by social pedagogy principles.

The successful candidate will support development, education access, and collaborative planning with families and statutory agencies, within the Compass Care team, including on-call duties if required.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification NFQ Level 7 or higher in social care/social pedagogy/social work/psychology or related field.
• Excellent verbal and written English language skills.
• Full Irish driving license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day care and individual work with the young people.
• Support social, emotional and cognitive development using social pedagogy principles.
• Promote education and facilitate access to school and services.
• Maintain documentation for each young person and contribute to care planning.
• Participate in case conferences, reviews and written reports.
• Work within the Compass Care Team and on-call roster if required.
