Job summary

Sunbeam House Services (SHS) in Bray, Co. Wicklow, provides supports to people with intellectual disabilities and complex needs in day services.

The role focuses on community participation and intergration across three day services, with Monday to Friday hours and a commitment to person-centred planning. The Social Care Worker will support clients to achieve personal outcomes, build potential and develop positive roles within home and community, while adhering to HIQA standards and maintain

Qualifications

Hold a QQI Level 7 in Social Care or foreign equivalent (validated by QQI).
Registered with the Social Care Workers Registration Board maintained by CORU.
Or hold a CORU-approved Social Care Worker qualification and have applied for CORU Registration (evidence required).
Or eligible for registration with the Social Care Workers Registration Board maintained by CORU (evidence required).

Responsibilities

Facilitate and implement a person-centred approach aligned to clients' wishes and goals.
Promote and protect the rights of people, respecting dignity, privacy and choices.
Actively seek new interests and opportunities for people to develop meaningful roles in their communities.
Ensure the overall wellbeing of clients including health and personal care.
Assist in teaching life skills in cooking, budgeting, cleaning and building confidence.
