Job summary

HID Global in Galway, Ireland is seeking an experienced EMEA Finance Manager on a fixed-term 12-month contract. You will manage accounting services for a portfolio of EMEA entities, ensuring accurate reporting, strong controls, and high-quality service across the region.

The role reports to the EMEA Senior Finance Manager and requires leadership of a diverse team, IFRS expertise, and ERP/ consolidation system experience. Travel is 0-10%.

Qualifications

• 5+ years accounting experience in a multinational organization, preferably Shared Service
• Strong IFRS and local GAAP exposure
• Experience with SSC processes and continuous improvement
• Leadership or mentoring experience
• ERP experience, preferably Oracle
• Experience with Global Consolidation Tools, Onestream
• Excellent English, written and verbal

Responsibilities

• Lead Record to Report for defined portfolio of companies including:
• Management of month end close process under IFRS in adherence with corporate deadlines
• Partnership with Business Area, Corporate and Group accounting teams during month end close period
• Governance of Balance Sheet reconciliation processes for multiple entities
• Statutory compliance, taxation and reporting: Manage statutory compliance in multiple jurisdictions
• Audit readiness and management of audit process
• Liaise with internal and external taxation advisers as required
• Oversee indirect tax/VAT accounting accuracy and support filings in each country
• Lead, coach, and develop a diverse accounting team; manage hiring, onboarding, performance, and succession
• Build capabilities in technical accounting, controls, and automation; foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
• Service Delivery: Build and maintain a strong customer centric culture within the accounting team
• Develop relationships with all finance functions as well as the non- finance departments
• Process & Systems: Working as part of a global team, support continuous improvement in the Shared Services team
• This includes standardization of processes and practices across the department and implementation of new systems
• Ensuring processes are robust and compliant with HID standard
• Integration of new entities and workstreams into EMEA Finance Shared Services
• Participating in Global Shared Services projects and initiatives
• Other duties may be assigned

We are seeking an operationally focused Finance Manager to join EMEA Shared Services team at our Centre of Excellence (COE) in Galway Ireland. This is a fixed term contract for 12 months. Reporting to the EMEA Senior Finance Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounting services for a portfolio of EMEA companies, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, robust internal controls, and high-quality service to business units across the region.

• Supporting the development of the EMEA Shared Services Accounting team, building an effective partnership with all other finance and business functions
• Supporting Senior Finance Manager in the execution of departmental goals and objectives

YourExperienceand Background include:

• 5+ years accounting experience in a multinational organization, preferably Shared Service
• Strong IFRS and local GAAP exposure
• Very good knowledge of processes within SSC and an understanding of continuous improvement methodology
• Performance management, team leadership or mentoring experience
• Proven problem solver with the ability to work independently to research, test hypotheses, arrive at conclusions and make recommendationsTime management – ability to focus and get things done and know what business is critical; able to deal with conflicting priorities and ambiguity
• Co-ordination/planning/resource allocation – ability to bring together different people with conflicting schedules/ideas and meet deadlines
• Relevant professional qualification in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
• Bachelor’s degree required (Finance, Business Administration, or Accounting preferred)
• Recognised professional accounting qualification
• Highly proficient with MS Office applications
• Experience of ERP systems, preferably Oracle
• Experience of Global Consolidation Tools, preferably Onestream
• Excellent English, both verbal and in written
