Job summary

Apleona Ireland seeks an Electrician to join our South Dublin team. You will own electrical maintenance of plant equipment and work with multi-skilled teams to maximise uptime.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will read plans, coordinate with crew and perform both planned and reactive maintenance in a fast-paced environment. The role requires an Electrical Senior Trades or Diploma and experience in utilities/facilities, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Electrical senior trades or diploma in a relevant engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance of plant equipment and machinery.
• Read and interpret project plans and coordinate with labour crew.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to emergencies.
• Sourcing and stocking spare parts to ensure minimum stock levels.
• Maintain records and ensure health, safety and legislative compliance.
• Assist in installation of new plant and equipment and ensure training is completed.
• Overtime may be required to cover out of hours work.

Job description

At Apleona Ireland, we are looking for an Electrician to join our team in South Dublin, D14

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday - 7:00 to 15:30 or 8 to 16:30

Based at our client site and reporting to the Site Manager you will take ownership in providing electrical maintenance of plant equipment and machinery. Working alongside our multiskilled maintenance and facilities teams, you will be responsible for ensuring maximum up-times for electrical components.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Must be able to work well with their hands and understand the complexities of their area of work.
• Using and maintaining specialised machines and tools.
• Assembling components ready for installation.
• Reading and interpreting project plans.
• Coordinating with the labour crew for efficient installations.
• Carrying out planned maintenance checks and responding to emergency calls.
• Conserving resources to ensure budgetary integrity and client satisfaction.
• Carry out PPMs on equipment and fault resolution / repairs to broken down equipment.
• Maintain appropriate records in line with requirements.
• Assist in the installation of new plant and equipment.
• Ensure any training deemed necessary is completed.
• Sourcing and stocking of spare parts as required to ensure minimum stock levels are maintained
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety and legislative requirements.
• Report any accident, incidents and out of place findings to the line manager.
• Always maintain the workshop areas in a tidy condition.
• You may be asked to work overtime to cover out of hours work.

Qualifications and experience

• Electrical Senior Trades or Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience in the following areas - Utilities / Facilities.
• Proven track record in Preventative and Reactive Maintenance in a similar environment.
• Methodical, analytical and enthusiastic approach to work with good attention to detail.
• Team player with excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent communication, time management and organisational skills.
• Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting ability.
• Must be physically fit as this can be a demanding role.
