Job summary

Veolia is seeking an Electrical Technician to provide technical leadership and hands-on expertise across electrical and integrated utility systems within our energy centre in Ireland. The role requires comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, steam plant operations, and power generation equipment.

You will train, mentor, and coordinate technicians while managing predictive and preventive maintenance and reliability engineering using CMMS systems.

Qualifications

• Craft-qualified Electrician with HV/LV distribution experience.
• Experience with steam plant electrical systems and boiler controls.
• Strong CMMS experience for predictive and preventive maintenance.
• Leadership and mentoring of maintenance staff.
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily electrical maintenance operations with technicians.
• Serve as technical contact for external providers and contractors.
• Lead root cause analysis investigations on plant faults.
• Develop and implement PdM, PM, and corrective maintenance plans.
• Manage CMMS data analysis and reporting.
• Oversee HV/LV distribution, switchgear, transformers, and protection systems.
• Supervise steam plant electrical integration and boiler controls.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations.
• Mentor shift technicians and support knowledge transfer.
• Support continuous improvement and capital projects for utilities.
