Job summary

DesignBuild Search in Dublin is seeking an Electrical Engineer to work on Commercial and Pharma projects. You will review drawings and specs, develop engineering solutions, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years of experience with main or electrical contractors, plus strong IT skills in AutoCAD, Navisworks and MS Office. You will prepare sub-contract packages, monitor technical submittals, and coordinate with QA to align

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Experience with main or electrical contractor preferred.
• IT skills with AutoCAD/Navisworks/Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Undertake a full design review of drawings, specifications and schedules to ensure compliance with the applicable standards and industry guides.
• Responsible for developing engineering alternative solutions, including detailed calculations and sketches for client approval.
• Review of the co-ordinated construction drawings and documentation.
• Preparing Sub-contract and supplier Tender Packages in conjunction with Project QS.
• Prepare and monitor technical submittals for approval by the client.
• Review BCAR preliminary inspection plan and coordinate with the quality team.

The successful applicants will be involved on Commercial and Pharma projects. This position will offer career structure and a clear path to management.
