Job summary

Arup in Dublin is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Building Engineering team. You will design electrical distribution, lighting, fire detection, ICT and vertical transport for diverse building projects, ensuring high-quality documentation and coordination with suppliers and contractors.

We value Chartered status and a strong understanding of Irish regulations. The role offers permanent or contract pathways within a collaborative, global engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• 4 or 5 years post-qualification experience in Building Services, most of which will be in design gained within a consultancy environment.
• Revit.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the design and contract documentation and specifications.
• Design different systems including, but not limited to electrical distribution, small power, lighting & emergency lighting, fire detection & alarm, ICT, security and vertical transportation.
• Design Electrical services and installations for complex building services projects across various sectors (commercial, healthcare, education, etc.).
• Ensure that all design and documentation are prepared to the highest standards.
• Compile projects reports, and conceptual design studies.
• Liaise with supply chain and contractors to co-ordinate the successful delivery of the MEP installations.
