Job summary

Diageo in Dublin is seeking a Process Technician Electrical to join our manufacturing and packaging teams at St James Gate. This full-time role involves hands-on electrical maintenance, fault finding, and supporting production uptime.

You will operate SAP for reporting, participate in health and safety initiatives, and drive continuous improvement projects using manufacturing excellence tools. The position requires flexibility for 12-hour shifts (day and night) and a collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive maintenance backup service for production activities.
• Understand and perform isolations for Diageo and contract personnel.
• Attend and participate in departmental meetings.
• Raise and report plant issues via SAP and shift passdowns.
• Actively engage in health and safety initiatives and raise near-miss issues.
• Understand departmental key objectives and monitor related KPIs.
• Familiarity with tools such as Brewmaxx, Braumat, and MES for fault finding.
• Ensure appropriate PPE usage at all times.
• Provide project management for continuous improvement projects and facilitate teams.
• Ensure optimum availability and process efficiency of plant to meet customer service levels within budget.
• Lead development and delivery of technical skills and assessment within production teams.
• Demonstrate flexibility in demeanour and work practices across teams.
• Commit to personal and team development via training programs.
• Contribute to world class asset care and adoption of Manufacturing Excellence tools.
• Understand site KPI targets and act to achieve them.
• Support colleagues including contract personnel and suppliers, and use SAP for asset care planning, procurement, and recording maintenance history.
• Record resources used on maintenance activities and downtime data (MTBF/MTTR)
• Maintain and improve brewery production equipment to minimise downtime due to equipment failures.
• Drive continuous improvement through CI approaches and RCA/RCM/5S/SPC.
• Operate safely and professionally in all team activities.
• Deliver technical solutions and support to packaging teams.
• Occasionally work alone for periods due to site plant geography.
