Job summary

CREGG in Limerick is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a proactive engineering team. You will support production through PMI, fault finding, breakdown response and improvement projects on rotating shifts.

The role requires strong electrical maintenance knowledge, fault-finding skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in equipment maintenance or production engineering.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Good electrical maintenance knowledge; mechanical skills beneficial.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced production environment.
• Flexible, team-focused attitude with safety awareness.
• Willingness to multi-skill and continuously improve.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Maintenance Inspections (PMI) on schedule.
• Respond quickly to machinery breakdowns and minimise downtime.
• Diagnose faults and troubleshoot efficiently.
• Maintain, inspect and improve electrical systems and site equipment.
• Support installation, commissioning and maintenance of machinery.
• Use CMMS for breakdown reporting and maintenance records.
• Communicate with production teams, engineers and management.
• Assist mechanical and facilities engineers when required.
• Source and order spare parts as needed.
• Liaise with machine manufacturers and suppliers.
• Support ongoing engineering improvement projects.
• Ensure smooth shift handovers and complete daily reports.
• Maintain high housekeeping and safety standards.
