Job summary

PE Global is recruiting an Electrical Foreman for a Cork based electrical contracting company. You will lead on-site electrical teams across commercial, industrial, healthcare and pharma projects, ensuring work is safe, efficient and to high standards.

This permanent role offers clear progression into senior supervision and project management within a growing contractor. If you’re an experienced Electrician looking to advance, we’d like to hear from you.

Qualifications

  • Fully qualified electrician with a recognised electrical qualification.
  • Experience as Electrical Foreman / Supervisor / Chargehand or Senior Electrician.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Full clean driving licence desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise electricians, apprentices and subcontractors on site.
  • Plan and allocate daily workloads across the electrical team.
  • Coordinate labour, materials, tools and equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications and project documentation.
  • Ensure electrical installations are completed to standards and safety procedures.
  • Monitor project progress, productivity and quality.
  • Liaise with Project Managers, Site Managers, clients and other contractors.
  • Identify issues and communicate resource needs to management.
  • Assist with testing, commissioning, snagging and handover.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to electricians and apprentices.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and site organisation.

An established and growing electrical contracting company based in Cork is looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Foreman to join their team on a permanent basis.

The company works across a range of commercial, industrial, healthcare, pharmaceutical and E&I projects, providing electrical installation and maintenance services to a strong portfolio of clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrician who is looking to take the next step in their career or an existing Foreman looking for a long-term position with a growing contractor.

The Role

As Electrical Foreman, you will be responsible for supervising electrical teams on site and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate electricians, apprentices and subcontractors on site.
  • Plan and allocate daily workloads across the electrical team.
  • Coordinate labour, materials, tools and equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications and project documentation.
  • Ensure electrical installations are completed in accordance with relevant standards and specifications.
  • Monitor project progress, productivity and quality.
  • Liaise with Project Managers, Site Managers, clients and other contractors.
  • Ensure all works are carried out in line with health & safety procedures, RAMS and site requirements.
  • Identify potential issues, delays or additional resource requirements and communicate these to management.
  • Assist with testing, commissioning, snagging and project handover.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to electricians and apprentices.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and site organisation.
Requirements
  • Fully Qualified Electrician with a recognised electrical qualification.
  • Previous experience as an Electrical Foreman, Electrical Supervisor, Chargehand or Senior Electrician.
  • Strong commercial or industrial electrical experience.
  • Experience supervising and coordinating electrical teams.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of electrical installation standards and site procedures.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Strong focus on health & safety and quality.
  • Full clean driving licence is desirable.
