Aureol Global Connections is seeking a skilled maintenance technician for heavy wood processing facilities in Ireland. The role focuses on mechanical drive systems, automation controls, and drive electronics across sawmill lines.

The ideal candidate will have a time-served apprenticeship in mechanical fitting, electrical, or mechatronics with at least three years of hands-on maintenance experience in similar environments. Safety and troubleshooting expertise are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Time-served apprenticeship in mechanical fitting, electrical, or mechatronics engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience in sawmills or heavy industrial environments.

Aufgaben

• Mechanical Drive Systems: servicing, aligning, and overhauling heavy mechanical infrastructure including bearings, chains, sprockets, conveyors, and gearboxes.
• Automation & Controls: fault-finding on Siemens/Mitsubishi PLCs to diagnose sensor inputs, safety stops, and interlocks across sawmill units.
• Motor & Drive Control: installing, parameterizing, and troubleshooting VFDs and 3-phase motor circuits in conveyor systems and arbors.
• Pneumatics & Hydraulics: maintaining hydraulic packs, valves, and heavy pneumatic cylinders in clamping and kicker systems.
• Preventative & Emergency Maintenance: conducting inspections, lubrication checks, and rapid breakdown repairs for uptime.
• Compliance & Safety: adhering to LOTO procedures, isolation protocols, and sawmill safety standards.
