Job summary

Aureol Global Connections is seeking an Electrical Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical work across construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects in Ireland. You will review drawings, quantify materials, and compile bids while ensuring compliance with project standards.

The ideal candidate will have a related degree, strong Excel and estimating software skills, and proven experience in tenders and bid submissions.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Experience as an Electrical Estimator in construction, infrastructure, utilities, or industrial projects.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installation methods, materials, and labor costing.
• Experience preparing tenders and competitive bids.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software (e.g., Candy, ConEst, Trimble, Bluebeam, CostX, or similar).
• Good analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Conduct quantity take-offs from electrical drawings and plans.
• Request and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare tender submissions and bid proposals.
• Identify project risks, opportunities, and value engineering options.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams.
• Maintain estimating databases and historical cost information.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits when required.
• Ensure estimates comply with client requirements and industry standards.
