Job summary

Global Professional Consultants is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor on a Data Centre project in Finland. You will report to the Electrical Project Lead and receive strong support and clear career progression.

Responsibilities include leading electrical systems management, coordinating with design teams and contractors, and overseeing BIM deliverables and approvals to ensure timely documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

• Oversee design coordination, BIM deliverables, RFIs, submittals, and approvals to ensure timely construction documentation.
• Manage subcontractor activities, procurement, material deliveries, and day-to-day site operations in line with schedule and budget.
• Drive project reporting, including progress updates, risk management, cost tracking, and closeout documentation (QA, safety files, O&M manuals, snag lists).
• Mentor and support junior engineers while promoting BIM integration and continuous improvement.

Electrical Engineer

Electrical Engineer required to join one of Europe’s leading Tier 1 Main Contractors on a Data Centre project in Finland. The successful candidate would be reporting into the Electrical Project Lead and will be provided excellent support and career progression opportunities.

Duties

• Lead management of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with key stakeholders (design teams, contractors, suppliers, subcontractors) to deliver engineering solutions and resolve technical queries.
• Oversee design coordination, BIM deliverables, RFIs, submittals, and approvals to ensure timely and accurate construction documentation.
• Manage subcontractor activities, procurement, material deliveries, and day-to-day site operations in line with project schedule and budget.
• Drive project reporting, including progress updates, risk management, cost tracking, and closeout documentation (QA, safety files, O&M manuals, snag lists).
• Mentor and support junior engineers while promoting innovative practices, BIM integration, and continuous improvement in project delivery.

Requirements

• Degree in Building Services Engineering / Electrical Engineering
• 4 Years+ experience as an Electrical Engineer
• Must have worked with an M&E Contractor in Ireland or the UK.
• Proven track record of having led teams on large projects with tight deadlines.
• Experience working on Data Centre projects would be advantageous.
• Proficient in MS Office.
