Job summary

GPC - Global Professional Consultants is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a Data Centre project. You will lead electrical systems, ensure compliance with specifications, coordinate with design teams and subcontractors, and manage design coordination and BIM deliverables on time.

You will mentor junior engineers and push for innovative practices to improve project delivery while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• 4+ years' experience as an Electrical Engineer.
• Experience with M&E contractors in Ireland or the UK.
• Proven leadership on large projects with tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical systems management per project specs, quality and safety.
• Coordinate with design teams, contractors, suppliers to resolve queries.
• Oversee design coordination, BIM deliverables, RFIs, submittals and approvals.
• Manage subcontractor activities, procurement, deliveries and site operations.
• Provide project reporting on progress, risk, cost tracking and closeout.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote BIM integration and continuous improvement.

Electrical Engineer

Electrical Engineer required to join one of Europes leading Tier 1 Main Contractors on a Data Centre project in Finland. The successful candidate would be reporting into the Electrical Project Lead and will be provided excellent support and career progression opportunities.

Duties

• Lead management of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with key stakeholders (design teams, contractors, suppliers, subcontractors) to deliver engineering solutions and resolve technical queries.
• Oversee design coordination, BIM deliverables, RFIs, submittals, and approvals to ensure timely and accurate construction documentation.
• Manage subcontractor activities, procurement, material deliveries, and day-to‑day site operations in line with project schedule and budget.
• Drive project reporting, including progress updates, risk management, cost tracking, and closeout documentation (QA, safety files, O&M manuals, snag lists).
• Mentor and support junior engineers while promoting innovative practices, BIM integration, and continuous improvement in project delivery.

Requirements

• Degree in Building Services Engineering / Electrical Engineering
• 4 Years+ experience as an Electrical Engineer
• Must have worked with an M&E Contractor in Ireland or the UK.
• Proven track record of having led teams on large projects with tight deadlines.
• Experience working on Data Centre projects would be advantageous.
• Proficient in MS Office.
