Job summary

Arcadis DPS in Rathdrum, South Wicklow, seeks an Electrical Engineer for the Capital Projects team on a pharmaceutical assignment. You will provide site-based electrical engineering leadership from design through commissioning and handover in a GMP and ATEX-regulated environment.

The role demands end-to-end ownership of electrical scope execution, contractor oversight, and safe, right-first-time installation, with strong collaboration across engineering, operations and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is essential.
• 5+ years in GMP-regulated manufacturing role.
• Experience in ATEX/hazardous areas.
• Background in Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, quality systems, and electrical safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical scope for capital projects and upgrades.
• Oversee design through handover ensuring GMP/ATEX compliance.
• Manage contractor oversight, RAMS, and LOTO.
• Coordinate with automation and OEM vendors.
• Maintain electrical documentation and records.
• Support FAT/SAT and energisation readiness.
