Job summary

GPC - Global Professional Consultants seeks an Electrical Engineer for a leading engineering contractor on a hyperscale data centre project in Finland. Responsibilities include overseeing electrical installations, coordinating procurement, and ensuring safety and standards.

Candidates should have a degree in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years' contractor experience, preferably in data centres, with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or trade qualification.
• 3+ years of Electrical Engineering experience with a main contractor.
• Data Centre or high-tech sector experience preferred.
• Strong communicator with excellent verbal, written, and cloud-based communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical installations to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards.
• Manage preconstruction activities including technical submissions and drawings.
• Conduct site inspections, monitor progress, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate procurement of electrical packages with the Procurement Manager.
• Collaborate with project teams to maintain schedules and quality.
• Coordinate drawings with Site/Project Manager and maintain QA packs.
• Support commissioning, subcontractor coordination, and handover.
