Job summary

STS Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a major data centre construction project in Frankfurt. You will coordinate the technical design with on-site installation and commissioning, working as part of a site management team to deliver the project safely and to high quality.

The role covers collaboration with engineers, design reviews, and progress tracking in supply chain meetings, ensuring right-first-time installation and adherence to HSE and HSEQ standards.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering qualification (degree) or trade qualification with project experience.
• Minimum 5 years' electrical engineering experience.
• Experience with LV and MV systems in pharma or data centre environments preferred.
• Must have work authorisation for Germany (EU Citizen).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project engineers to deliver electrical packages.
• Review electrical designs to identify gaps and ensure constructibility.
• Attend supply chain meetings and track progress within the construction programme.
• Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and our HSEQ systems.

Electrical Engineer - Data Centre Construction - Frankfurt

STS Group is a market-leading electrical and instrumentation contractor, working mostly on mission-critical projects for blue-chip clients. We are part of the Dussman Group, a privately owned, large-scale integrated facility management specialist headquartered in Berlin.

The Opportunity

As our next Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the engineering activities on one of our key projects in Frankfurt, coordinating the technical design with the onsite installation through to the successful commissioning. You will be part of a site management team, ensuring that we achieve our project aims and objectives safely, efficiently and to the highest quality.

Some of the Key Tasks

• Work collaboratively with other Project Engineers and the wider project team to deliver electrical packages on the project.
• Complete electrical design review to identify design gaps and deviations or contradictions in the specifications. Ensuring that the technical assessments are completed as required and any issues are resolved without delay.
• Attend & record regular supply chain meetings to ensure that progress is monitored & maintained within the overall construction programme.
• Ensuring our sites are compliant to all relevant HSE legislation, and adherent to our HSEQ Management systems.
• Proactively work with site management teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure the successful delivery of the project.
• Ensure “right first time” installation of all electrical systems and packages.
• Reviewing the electrical installation with the BIM team to ensure the design is constructible with adequate space for installation and maintenance of all equipment and cabling.

Who We're Looking For

• Relevant third level qualification in Electrical Engineering, or an electrical trade qualification with relevant projects completed.
• 5+ years' electrical engineering experience, ideally with exposure to both design and project delivery.
• Experience with both LV and MV systems in either pharmaceutical plant or data centre environments (ideally)
• Candidates must have work authorisation for Germany (e.g: EU Citizen)
