Job summary

Network Talent Partners is partnering with a specialist engineering consultancy in Dublin to appoint an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join a growing building services team. This role is ideal for an engineer with around two years’ experience who wants to deepen design knowledge within data centre environments.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
• Good understanding of electrical building services design principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of electrical building services systems.
• Contribute to electrical design calculations, technical specifications and engineering documentation.
• Support the development of electrical layouts and design packages.
• Work with senior engineers on the design and coordination of electrical systems.
• Liaise with mechanical engineers and other disciplines to ensure effective multidisciplinary coordination.
• Assist with reviewing technical drawings, specifications and design deliverables.
• Contribute to project meetings and support the delivery of engineering solutions.

Network Talent Partners is working with a specialist engineering consultancy in Dublin that is looking to appoint an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join its growing engineering capability.

This is an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer with approximately two years' experience within a building services consultancy who is looking to build on their existing design experience and develop their career within a technically challenging and fast-moving sector.

Previous data centre experience is not required.

The opportunity is ideally suited to someone with a solid grounding in electrical building services design who is keen to broaden their project experience and develop specialist knowledge within the data centre and mission-critical sector.

The Opportunity

Working as part of an established multidisciplinary engineering team, you will be involved in the design and coordination of electrical building services across data centre projects.

You will work alongside experienced engineers, gaining exposure to complex electrical infrastructure and developing your technical capabilities across the full design process.

This is an opportunity to build on your existing consultancy experience while developing specialist expertise in an increasingly important area of the engineering market.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of electrical building services systems.

What We're Looking For

• Approximately 2 years' experience within an electrical building services engineering consultancy.
• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
• Good understanding of electrical building services design principles.
• Some experience with electrical design calculations, drawings and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with electrical systems such as power distribution, lighting and small power.
• Experience using design software such as AutoCAD and/or Revit would be beneficial.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• A proactive approach, willingness to learn and enthusiasm for developing technically.

Data centre experience is not essential. Candidates with a traditional building services consultancy background who are interested in developing within the data centre sector are encouraged to apply.
