EHS Specialist: Safety & Sustainability Leader

Job summary

jobs-placeme seeks an Environmental, Health & Safety professional to support world-class manufacturing in Galway. You will lead EHS programs, perform risk assessments, and drive improvements across energy, waste, water, and emissions.

The role requires a proven EH&S track record, ability to influence operations teams, and strong analytical skills to sustain compliance with IED, ISO 14001/45001/50001, and related standards.

Qualifications

• BSc in Environmental, Health & Safety; postgraduate qualification desirable.
• 2–3 years’ experience in a world-class manufacturing environment.
• Ability to use Pareto analysis, A3 thinking, and other statistical tools.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with site-level stakeholders.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven EH&S management experience and project leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage and report environmental metrics monthly and complete AER & EPR annually.
• Ensure compliance with TT Standard work, ISO 14001/45001/50001, EPA & IED requirements.
• Reduce site greenhouse gas emissions and work toward 2030 carbon neutrality for the TK Galway site.
• Provide environmental support for manufacturing of current and new products to high safety and environmental standards.
• Support standard work for chemical processes, with focus on electrocoat and wastewater treatment.
• Develop and support Health and Safety programs to reduce LTIR and TRIR.
• Coordinate audits and corrective actions for Connect & Engage and ABC programs.
