Job summary

Zohorecruit is seeking an EHS Project Engineer (Junior–Mid Level) in County Louth, Ireland. The role supports environmental, health, and safety activities across pharmaceutical manufacturing and R&D, integrating EHS principles into engineering projects and ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will work with senior EHS and engineering colleagues on high-hazard operations, construction activities, and process safety, gaining exposure to safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in EHS within pharmaceutical or other regulated manufacturing environments.
• Developing knowledge of Construction Safety and Process Safety.
• Ability to conduct basic risk assessments and support EHS documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support the integration of EHS requirements into capital projects, facility upgrades, and process changes.
• Participate in Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs) and track completion of EHS actions.
• Assist with field walkdowns, basic risk assessments, and process safety reviews.
• Contribute to Construction Safety, Machine Safety, LOTO, and Permit to Work programs.
• Support chemical safety, hazardous waste management, and routine industrial hygiene monitoring.
• Help maintain compliance with EHS standards.
• Participate in incident investigations, audits, and follow-up actions.
• Deliver or help coordinate EHS training and promote safe working practices across project teams.
